How to Add Schema Markup to Your PhotoBiz Website

Overview

Schema markup is structured data that helps search engines better understand the content on your website. It can help search engines identify details such as your business name, location, services, contact information, social media links, and other important website content.

PhotoBiz makes this easier with a dedicated Schema section inside the Website Builder SEO settings. The recommended option for most users is Ask PhotoBiz AI, which can automatically create schema markup based on your website content and the information saved in your Branding section.

In this guide, you will learn how to use Ask PhotoBiz AI to create and add schema markup to a page on your PhotoBiz website. Advanced users can also paste their own schema markup if they already have valid schema created outside of PhotoBiz.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, review the Branding section of your PhotoBiz account and make sure your business profile is accurate. Ask PhotoBiz AI may use your website content and Branding details to help generate schema markup.

Using the Ask PhotoBiz AI button counts as one PhotoBiz AI request for the month.

If you plan to add schema manually, you should already have your schema markup prepared. Most schema markup is added in JSON-LD format.

If you need help creating schema markup, see: How To Create Schema Markup

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

This opens your PhotoBiz Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages, navigation, and page content.

STEP TWO

Select the page where you want to add schema markup.

Choose the page that best matches the information you want search engines to understand. For example, your homepage is commonly used for business-level schema, while a specific service page can use schema related to that service.

STEP THREE

Click SEO in the top-right corner of the page editor.

This opens the SEO panel on the right side of the Website Builder. The SEO panel includes settings for the selected page, including page title, description, tracking, and schema options.

STEP FOUR

Click Schema in the right-side SEO panel.

The Schema section appears as the fourth option in the SEO panel, below Tracking. This is where schema markup is added for the selected page.

STEP FIVE

Click Ask PhotoBiz AI to generate schema markup for the page.

Ask PhotoBiz AI will create schema based on your website content and the details saved in your Branding section. This is the recommended option for most PhotoBiz users because you do not need to write schema markup manually.

Using the Ask PhotoBiz AI button counts as one PhotoBiz AI request for the month.

Create Your Own Schema Markup? Paste It

If you already have schema markup created outside of PhotoBiz, you can copy and paste it directly into the Schema section instead of using Ask PhotoBiz AI.

This option is best for advanced users who are familiar with structured data and already have valid schema prepared. Most schema markup is added in JSON-LD format.

After pasting your schema markup, review the code and click Save Changes.

FINAL STEP

Review the generated schema markup and click Save Changes.

Your schema markup is added to the selected page on your live website after you save your changes. There is no separate publish button in the PhotoBiz Website Builder.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

Ask PhotoBiz AI makes it easier to create schema markup without writing code. You should still review the generated schema before saving it to make sure your business name, services, location, contact details, and other information are accurate.

Schema markup must be formatted correctly for search engines to read it. Invalid, incomplete, or unrelated schema may not be recognized.

Adding schema markup does not guarantee rich search results or higher search rankings. Search engines decide when and how enhanced search results appear.

You can test your schema after saving by using structured data testing tools such as:

  • Schema Markup Validator
  • Google Rich Results Test

The Schema Markup Validator can help confirm that your schema is valid and properly structured. The Google Rich Results Test can help determine whether your page may be eligible for enhanced search results in Google.

Troubleshooting or FAQs

Why should I use Ask PhotoBiz AI instead of creating schema myself?

Ask PhotoBiz AI is the easiest option for most users because it can generate schema markup automatically based on your website and Branding information. Creating schema manually is more advanced and requires knowledge of structured data formatting.

Does Ask PhotoBiz AI count toward my monthly AI requests?

Yes. Each time you click Ask PhotoBiz AI to generate schema, it counts as one PhotoBiz AI request for the month.

Can I edit the schema after Ask PhotoBiz AI creates it?

Yes. You can review and edit the schema before clicking Save Changes.

Can I paste schema that I created somewhere else?

Yes. If you already created schema markup outside of PhotoBiz, you can copy and paste it into the Schema section. This is recommended only if you already have valid schema markup ready to use.

Why do I not see the Schema option?

Make sure you are editing a page in the PhotoBiz Website Builder and have clicked SEO in the top-right corner of the page editor. The Schema option appears in the right-side SEO panel below Tracking.

Will schema markup guarantee rich results in Google?

No. Schema markup helps search engines understand your website, but it does not guarantee rich results. Google and other search engines decide whether enhanced search results appear.

Can I add Schema to my blog posts?

No. Currently Schema only applies to pages in your PhotoBiz website builder.
