How to Get Started with Invoicing in PhotoBiz

The PhotoBiz invoicing tool allows you to create and send professional invoices directly to your clients. Before sending your first invoice, you need to set up your payment information and branding so invoices process correctly and match your business. This guide walks you through the initial setup steps so you can start invoicing with confidence. By the end of this article, you will be ready to create and send your first invoice.

STEP ONE

Add Your Payment Information

The first step in setting up invoicing is configuring how you get paid. In your PhotoBiz dashboard, navigate to E-Commerce and hover over Payment to access your payment settings. From here, you will set up your merchant account so clients can pay invoices online. You should also review and configure your sales tax settings and shipping options if you plan to include taxable items or shipped products on invoices. These settings ensure totals calculate correctly when invoices are created and sent.

STEP TWO

Add Your Branding

Next, customize the appearance of your invoices by adding your branding. Hover over Settings, click General, and open the Receipt Settings tab. In this section, upload your logo so it appears on invoices and receipts sent to clients. Adding branding helps invoices look professional and consistent with the rest of your PhotoBiz website and communications.

STEP THREE

Create Your First Invoice

Once your payment information and branding are in place, you are ready to create an invoice. Go to the invoicing area of your account and begin building a new invoice by adding client details, line items, and payment terms. When finished, you can send the invoice directly to your client for payment. At this point, your invoicing system is fully set up and ready for regular use.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

  • You can send a test invoice to yourself to review how it looks and confirm payment settings are working correctly.

  • Invoices can be customized for different clients and services as needed.

  • Any changes made to payment or receipt settings will apply to future invoices.

PRO TIP!

You can create and send a test invoice to send to yourself first to make sure you've got all your settings configured the way you want them.
