How to Limit Form Submissions in PhotoBiz

Overview

The PhotoBiz Form & Contract Builder lets you set a submission limit when you only want a form to accept a specific number of responses. This is useful for contests, giveaways, class registrations, event sign-ups, limited offers, and other forms with a set capacity.

The Submission Limit setting controls the total number of submissions the form can accept. This guide walks you through finding the setting, entering your limit, and saving the change.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click FORMS in the left-side menu.

This opens the Forms Dashboard.

STEP TWO

Click FORMS at the top center of the Forms Dashboard.

This opens your list of existing forms.

STEP THREE

Click the name of the form you want to limit.

If you have multiple forms, categories, or pages of forms, you can use the search bar to locate the form you want to edit.

STEP FOUR

In the form editor, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then click SETTINGS.

This opens the settings that control what happens when visitors submit your form.

FINAL STEP

Find the Submission Limit field and enter the maximum number of submissions you want the form to accept.

For example, if you only have 25 available spots for a class or event, enter 25.

Click SAVE CHANGES to apply the submission limit.

Your form is now configured to stop accepting additional submissions once the limit you entered has been reached.

When to Use a Submission Limit

A submission limit can be helpful when you need to control how many responses a form receives. Common examples include:

  • Class or workshop registrations
  • Event sign-ups
  • Giveaways and contests
  • Limited-capacity promotions
  • Application forms
  • RSVP forms
  • Limited appointment or session requests

Submission Limit vs. Expiration Date

The Submission Limit setting controls your form based on the number of submissions received.

The Expiration Date setting controls your form based on a specific date.

Choose the option that best matches how you want to control form availability. You can review both settings in the form's SETTINGS area.

See How To Set A Form Expiration Date for instructions.

Helpful Notes

The submission limit applies to the form itself, so choose a number that matches the total number of responses you want to accept.

If your availability changes, you can return to the form's SETTINGS and update the Submission Limit.

Remember to click SAVE CHANGES after making adjustments so the updated setting is applied.
