Overview
You can forward a secondary domain to a specific page on your PhotoBiz website, such as a portfolio, pricing, booking, or services page. This is useful when you want a memorable domain name to send visitors directly to a particular section of your website instead of your homepage.
Because PhotoBiz does not configure secondary domains to forward directly to individual website pages, this setup requires a third-party redirect service. This guide walks you through using Redirect.pizza to securely redirect a secondary domain to a specific page on your PhotoBiz website.
If you only want your secondary domain to forward to your main PhotoBiz website, see Forward a Secondary Domain to Your PhotoBiz Account instead.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
For example, you might redirect:
myweddingphotography.com → https://www.yourdomain.com/weddings
Go to the Redirect.pizza website and create an account. Choose the available plan that best fits your needs.
PhotoBiz is not affiliated with Redirect.pizza. Redirect.pizza manages its own accounts, pricing, features, and support. Contact Redirect.pizza directly if you need assistance with its service.
Create a new redirect in Redirect.pizza. Enter your secondary domain as the source and enter the complete PhotoBiz page URL as the destination.
For example, your source might be myweddingphotography.com, and your destination might be https://www.yourdomain.com/weddings.
If you want both myweddingphotography.com and www.myweddingphotography.com to work, configure both versions as directed by Redirect.pizza.
This setup creates a redirect rather than assigning the secondary domain directly to the PhotoBiz page. After the redirect is complete, visitors will see the destination PhotoBiz URL in their browser.
Follow their guide for detailed instructions: Redirect.Pizza Getting Started Guide
After you configure the redirect, Redirect.pizza will provide the DNS records required for your domain. Log in to the company where your secondary domain's DNS is managed and add or update the records exactly as provided by Redirect.pizza.
Do not change unrelated DNS records unless Redirect.pizza specifically instructs you to do so. Other DNS records may be used for services such as email.
DNS management screens vary between domain providers. If you need help locating or updating the required DNS records, use Redirect.pizza's instructions for your domain provider or contact your domain provider for assistance.
Return to your Redirect.pizza dashboard and validate the redirect after you update the DNS records. DNS changes are not always immediate and may take up to 24–48 hours to fully update across the internet.
Once validation is complete, open your secondary domain in a browser and confirm that it sends you to the correct PhotoBiz page. If you configured both the non-www and www versions of your domain, test both versions.
Your secondary domain should redirect securely to the selected PhotoBiz page using HTTPS.
Forwarding to Your Homepage
You do not need to use this process if you only want a secondary domain to forward to the homepage of your PhotoBiz website.
See Forward a Secondary Domain to Your PhotoBiz Account for the PhotoBiz-supported workflow.
This Is a Redirect, Not a Separate Website Address
The secondary domain acts as a shortcut to the destination page.
For example:
myweddingphotography.com → https://www.yourdomain.com/weddings
After the redirect occurs, the destination URL appears in the visitor's browser. The secondary domain does not remain in the address bar as the permanent URL for that PhotoBiz page.
Use the Complete Destination URL
Always use the full URL of the PhotoBiz page you want visitors to reach, including https://.
Open the page on your website first and copy its URL directly from your browser to reduce the chance of entering the wrong destination.
DNS Changes Can Take Time
Some DNS changes begin working within minutes, while others take longer because of DNS caching. Allow up to 24–48 hours before assuming the setup has failed.
My Domain Is Not Redirecting
Confirm that the DNS records at your domain provider exactly match the records provided by Redirect.pizza.
Also confirm that the source domain and destination PhotoBiz URL are entered correctly in Redirect.pizza. If you recently changed your DNS records, allow additional time for the changes to update.
The Non-WWW Domain Works, but WWW Does Not
The www and non-www versions of a domain can require separate configuration. Check your Redirect.pizza setup and make sure both versions are configured if you want visitors to be able to use either address.
The Redirect Opens the Wrong Page
Open the correct page on your PhotoBiz website and copy its complete URL. Update the destination in Redirect.pizza with that URL, then test the secondary domain again.
