How to Allow PhotoBiz Email Notifications in Gmail or Google Workspace

Overview

Gmail or Google Workspace may block PhotoBiz notification emails, place them in Spam, or sort them into another inbox category. Creating a Gmail filter identifies the PhotoBiz notification address as an approved sender and helps prevent matching messages from being sent to Spam.

This guide explains how to create a filter for emails sent from emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com. It also explains what Google Workspace users should do when an organization-level email rule prevents the notification from reaching their inbox.

PhotoBiz is not affiliated with Google. Gmail and Google Workspace settings are managed by Google and may change over time.

STEP ONE

Log in to the Gmail or Google Workspace inbox where you receive notifications from your PhotoBiz account.

Open Gmail in a web browser on a computer. Locate the search bar at the top of your inbox.

STEP TWO

Click the Show search options icon on the right side of the Gmail search bar.

The advanced search panel will open. This panel allows you to identify the sender you want Gmail to recognize.

STEP THREE

Enter emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com in the From field.

Leave the remaining search fields blank. Click Create filter in the lower-right corner of the search panel to continue.

FINAL STEP

Select Never send it to Spam.

You can apply additional settings to make PhotoBiz notifications easier to locate:

  • Star it: Adds a star to each matching message.
  • Always mark it as important: Adds Gmail’s importance marker.
  • Apply the label: Organizes the notifications under an existing or new Gmail label.
  • Categorize as Primary: Places the notifications in the Primary category when inbox categories are enabled.
  • Also apply filter to matching conversations: Applies the settings to matching messages already in your Gmail account.

Do not select Delete it or Skip the Inbox unless you intentionally want Gmail to delete or archive the notifications.

Click Create filter to save your settings. Gmail will apply the selected actions to future messages sent from emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com.

Add PhotoBiz to Your Google Contacts

You can also add emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com to your Google Contacts.

Saving the address as a contact gives Gmail another indication that you recognize the sender. For the strongest Gmail setup, add the sender to your contacts and create the filter described above.

Find an Existing PhotoBiz Notification

Enter the following search into the Gmail search bar:

from:emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com

Review the search results and check these Gmail locations:

  • Spam
  • Trash
  • All Mail
  • Promotions
  • Updates

If you locate the notification in Spam, select the message and click Not spam. Gmail will move it out of Spam.

Confirm Your PhotoBiz Notification Address

A Gmail filter only applies when the notification is sent to the correct email address.

Confirm that the notification or recipient email address entered in your PhotoBiz account is accurate. Depending on the type of notification, this address may be managed through Forms, Scheduler, ECommerce, Client Galleries, or another area of your account.

Correct any spelling errors before testing the notification again.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

The Notification Still Goes to Spam

Open the notification and click Not spam.

Review your Gmail filter and confirm that the From field contains emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com and Never send it to Spam is selected. You should also check for another filter that may be deleting, archiving, or redirecting the message.

The Notification Appears in Another Inbox Category

Edit the filter and select Categorize as Primary.

You can also open the notification and move it to the Primary category. Gmail may ask whether you want future messages from the sender placed there.

The Notification Does Not Appear Anywhere

Search for from:emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com and check Spam, Trash, and All Mail.

Confirm that your PhotoBiz notification address is correct and that your Gmail storage is not full. Google Workspace users should also ask their administrator to review blocked messages, email logs, quarantine settings, and approved senders.

I Cannot Create or Change the Filter

Your Google Workspace administrator may restrict certain Gmail settings. Contact your organization’s administrator for assistance.

Edit or Remove the Filter

In Gmail, click the Settings icon and select See all settings. Open Filters and Blocked Addresses and locate the filter containing emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com.

Click Edit to change the filter settings or Delete to remove it.
