How do I set the value of gift cards to sell?

How to Set Up Gift Cards in PhotoBiz

Gift Cards allow your clients to purchase prepaid credit that can be applied toward orders in your Client Galleries, Scheduler, or ECommerce store. PhotoBiz lets you offer gift cards in two formats: a flexible dollar range or fixed dollar increments. This article walks you through how to enable gift cards and configure how clients can purchase them. By the end, your gift cards will be ready to sell on your website.

Important: Enabling gift cards in ECommerce settings does not make them visible to clients by itself. You must also add a Gift Cards Block to a page in your Site Builder so clients can purchase them.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE from the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

At the top of the ECommerce control panel, hover over SELL ONLINE, then click GIFT CARDS from the dropdown menu.

STEP THREE

Click the SETTINGS button on the right side of the screen. This opens the Gift Card Preferences panel.

STEP FOUR

Choose Your Gift Card Format

In the Gift Card Preferences panel, use the Gift Card Amount dropdown to choose how clients can select gift card values.

You can choose one of the following formats.

Range:

  • Set a minimum and maximum dollar amount

  • Clients can enter any value within that range

Example:
If you set a range of $25 to $500, a client can enter $40, $275, or any amount between those values.

Increments:

  • Set specific fixed dollar amounts

  • Clients select one amount from a dropdown list

Example:
$25, $50, $100, $250

Save your settings when finished.

When using Increments, clients will see a dropdown menu showing the gift card values you defined and select one amount.

When using Range, clients will see a field where they can type in their desired amount. If they enter a value outside your allowed range, they will see an error message prompting them to enter a valid amount.

FINAL STEP

After configuring your gift card settings, add a Gift Cards Block to a page in your Site Builder. This step is required for clients to view and purchase gift cards on your website.

Once the block is added, gift cards will be available for purchase based on the settings you configured.

Helpful Notes

  • Gift Cards can be redeemed in Client Galleries, Scheduler, and ECommerce

  • Gift Cards cannot be used toward invoices or form payments

  • You can view and manage purchased gift cards from the Gift Cards section in ECommerce
