How to Add and Customize a Products Block on Your PhotoBiz Website

Overview

A Products Block lets you display and sell products from your PhotoBiz ECommerce store directly on your website. You can add a Products Block to an existing page or create a predesigned ECommerce page that includes one automatically.

This guide walks you through adding a Products Block, choosing which products appear, selecting a layout, and customizing the block's design. Your visitors can browse the products you display, view product details and options, and complete their purchase through your PhotoBiz ECommerce store.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have created the products you want to display and set them to active in your ECommerce Dashboard.

STEP ONE

This opens the Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages and content blocks.

STEP TWO

Click the page where you want your products to appear. Locate the Products Block in the right-side menu, then click the Products Block icon to add it to the bottom of the page or drag it to the location where you want it to appear. A teal line shows where the block will be placed.

If you do not already have a store page, you can also create a new page and choose a predesigned ECommerce page. The new page includes a Products Block automatically.

STEP THREE

After adding a Products Block, browse the available layouts and click SELECT on the layout you want to use.

Predesigned layouts include styling created for that layout. Blank layouts use your website's global design settings and provide a simpler starting point for customization.

If you created a predesigned ECommerce page, a Products Block layout is already applied. You can keep the existing layout or change it later from the Products Block settings.

STEP FOUR

Click the Products Block or its pencil icon to open the right-side settings panel. If the product selection settings are not already open, click PRODUCTS.

The EDIT PRODUCTS panel lets you choose which products you want to showcase. For multi-product layouts, select whether you want to display all product categories, one product category, products with a specific tag, or a custom selection of products.

If you use a Single Item layout, select the product category first, then select the specific product you want to feature.

FINAL STEP

After choosing the products you want to display, click SAVE CHANGES.

Your selected products will appear in the Products Block. Saving automatically applies the update to your website, so there is no separate publish button.

Preview the page on desktop and mobile to confirm that your products and layout appear the way you want.

Product Display Options

The Products section controls which ECommerce products appear in the Products Block.

For layouts that display multiple products, you can select:

Display ALL of your product categories: Displays active products from all product categories.
Display a single product category: Displays active products from one selected category.
Display all products tagged with: Displays active products that use a selected product tag.
Custom products: Lets you choose specific products individually.

Only active products can appear in a Products Block.

The EDIT PRODUCTS panel also includes MANAGE PRODUCTS. Click MANAGE PRODUCTS when you need to access and manage the products in your ECommerce store. Click SAVE CHANGES when you want to apply the current product selection to the Products Block.

Selecting a Product for a Single Item Layout

Single Item layouts are designed to feature one specific product.

Select the product category from the first dropdown menu. After selecting the category, select the product you want to feature from the second dropdown menu.

The product information displayed in the block is pulled from the product you created in ECommerce.

Last Item Options

The Last Item settings control what visitors see after the products initially displayed in the block.

Depending on the selected layout, available options may include:

None: Does not display an additional link.
Load More: Lets visitors load additional products within the same Products Block.
Standard Link: Adds a link that directs visitors to another destination.

Depending on the selected layout, ythe Yes, as a load more link option will also have a link style and give you the choice to use button, text, or last grid item for your load more link.

Products Block Layout Options

PhotoBiz currently includes 30 Products Block layouts. The available row, column, and design controls depend on the layout you choose.

Modern Layouts

Modern Square: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns
Modern Portrait: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns
Modern Landscape: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns

Editorial Layouts

Editorial Circle: 1–10 rows, 2–5 columns
Editorial Square: 1–10 rows, 2–5 columns
Editorial Landscape: 1–10 rows, 2–5 columns
Editorial Portrait: 1–10 rows, 2–5 columns

Designer Layouts

Designer Pinboard: 1–10 rows, 3 columns
Designer Portrait: 1–10 rows, 3 columns
Designer Landscape: 1–10 rows, 2 columns
Designer Large Portrait: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns

Gallery Layout

Gallery

The Gallery layout provides an image-focused product display. Navigation arrow styling for supported Gallery behavior follows your website's global Arrows setting.

Image and Text Layouts

Image Small Left: 1–10 rows
Image Large Left: 1–10 rows
Image Thin Left: 1–10 rows, 2 columns
Image Bottom: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns
Classic Landscape: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns
Classic Layers: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns
Contemporary Square: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns
Contemporary Landscape: 1–10 rows, 2–4 columns

Styling Options

Open Styling to adjust supported spacing and presentation settings for the Products Block.

Available settings vary by layout and may include:

Overlay opacity
Title Alignment
Description Alignment
Image Border Thickness
Item Background Opacity
Space Between Items
Space Below Items
Space Inside Items
Flushing
Mobile View

Click Save Changes after making your adjustments.

Colors

Click COLORS to customize supported colors for the Products Block without changing your website's global color settings.

Depending on the selected layout, available settings may include:

Product title color
Price and text colors
Block background color
Overlay color
Button text and background colors
Border color
Shape color
Caption title and text colors
Last Item text and background colors

Use the color picker or enter a HEX color code. A flag icon appears next to a setting that differs from your website's global design settings.

Click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.

Backgrounds

Click BACKGROUND to customize the background of the Products Block.

You can upload your own background image or choose an image from the Background Library. Available image display options may include Tile, Top Left, Center, and Cover.

Choose a background that keeps your product images, titles, prices, and buttons easy to see.

Click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.

Fonts

Click FONTS to override your website's global font settings for supported text within the Products Block.

Depending on the layout, available controls may include product titles, prices, descriptions, Last Item text, and button text.

Animations

Click ANIMATION to configure supported hover effects for product images or buttons.

Available image hover animations may include:

Blur

Available button hover animations may include:

Fill

Animation options vary by layout. Use animations selectively so they support the shopping experience without distracting visitors from your products.

Managing Your Product Information

The Products Block controls which products appear and how they are presented on your website. The products themselves are managed from the ECommerce Dashboard.

Use the ECommerce Dashboard when you need to update information such as:

Product name
Price
Description
Images
Product options
Active status

You can also click MANAGE PRODUCTS from the Products Block's EDIT PRODUCTS panel to access your products.

Changes made to a product in ECommerce are reflected anywhere that product is displayed through a Products Block.

What Your Visitors See

Visitors see the active products you selected using the Products Block layout and design settings you configured.

They can click a product to view its details and available options. When a visitor purchases a product, checkout is handled through your PhotoBiz ECommerce store using the payment methods you have configured.

Helpful Notes

Products are created and managed from the ECommerce Dashboard.
Only active products can appear in a Products Block.
Use the Products section to control which products appear in the block.
Click MANAGE PRODUCTS when you need to edit the underlying products.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply changes to the Products Block.
Available product selection and design settings vary by layout.
Changing layouts may change which Last Item, Styling, Colors, Background, Fonts, and Animation settings are available.
Saving automatically applies your updates to the website. There is no separate publish button.
Preview your page on desktop and mobile after making changes.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Why isn't my product appearing in the Products Block?

Make sure the product is active in your ECommerce Dashboard. You should also confirm that the product matches the category, product tag, or custom product selection configured for the block.

Where do I change a product's price, description, images, or options?

Manage those settings from the ECommerce Dashboard. The Products Block controls how the product is displayed on your website.

You can click MANAGE PRODUCTS from the EDIT PRODUCTS panel to access your products.

Why did some settings change after I selected another layout?

Different Products Block layouts support different display and design controls. Changing the layout can change the available row, column, Last Item, Styling, Colors, Background, Fonts, and Animation options.

Can I display only one product?

Yes. Choose one of the Single Item layouts, then select the product category and the specific product you want to feature.

Why can't I find a product in a Single Item layout?

Confirm that you selected the correct product category first and that the product is active in your ECommerce store.
