How to Change the Mobile Layout for Image Blocks

Overview

Image Blocks help you showcase your photography, highlight your brand, and add visual interest throughout your website. Because mobile screens are smaller than desktop screens, you may want to adjust how your Image Blocks display for visitors using phones.

PhotoBiz allows you to choose a 1-column or 2-column mobile layout for supported Image Block layouts. This guide walks you through how to update the mobile layout for an Image Block in your Website Builder.

STEP ONE

This opens your Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages, blocks, and design settings.

STEP TWO

Click the page that contains the Image Block you want to update.

This opens the page editor so you can view and edit the blocks on that page.

STEP THREE

Click the Image Block you want to change.

You can also click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the block and select Advanced from the menu that opens.

STEP FOUR

In the right-side panel, click STYLING and scroll down to the Mobile View section.

Choose Show 1 Column or Show 2 Columns, depending on how you want the Image Block to display on mobile devices. If you do not see the Mobile View section, the selected Image Block layout does not support this setting.

FINAL STEP

Click Save Changes to apply your updates.

Your Image Block will now use the mobile layout option you selected. You can preview your website on mobile to confirm the images display the way you want them to appear for visitors.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

Use Show 1 Column when your images are large, detailed, vertical, or need more space to display clearly on smaller screens.

Use Show 2 Columns when you want to show multiple images side by side, create a grid-style look, or shorten the length of the page on mobile devices.

Your mobile layout setting only affects how the Image Block displays on mobile devices. It does not change the desktop layout of the block.

Image Block Layouts That Support Mobile Layout Options

The following Image Block layouts include Rows and Columns settings and allow you to choose Show 1 Column or Show 2 Columns for mobile:

Image Block Layouts That Do Not Support Mobile Layout Changes

The following Image Block layouts do not include the Mobile View option for choosing 1 or 2 columns on mobile:

Slideshow
Carousel
Carousel Slideshow
Editorial Carousel Portrait
Editorial Carousel Landscape
Editorial Carousel No Crop

If you do not see the Mobile View section in the STYLING panel, the selected Image Block layout does not support the 1-column or 2-column mobile layout option. To use this setting, switch to one of the supported layouts listed above.
