Overview
You can add a title, description, and alt text to each image in an Images Block on your PhotoBiz website.
Titles and descriptions provide visitors with additional information about your photography. Alt text helps visitors using screen readers understand the image and gives search engines context about what the image shows.
The selected Images Block layout determines where and how titles and descriptions appear. Depending on the layout, the text may:
Alt text does not display as a visible title or caption. It is used for accessibility and search engine context.
This guide explains how to update an individual image and how titles and descriptions display in each supported layout.
The following Images Block layouts display the image title and description when a visitor hovers over the image:
The hover effect is intended primarily for visitors using a mouse or trackpad. Phones and tablets use touch controls and do not have a traditional hover action, so review the layout on both desktop and mobile.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens the Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages, content, and design.
Open the page that contains the images you want to update.
Click the Images Block that contains the image. The block settings and image thumbnails will open in the right-side menu.
Click the thumbnail of the image you want to update.
The individual image settings will open below the image thumbnails in the right-side menu.
On smaller screens, you may need to scroll below the thumbnails to find these settings.
Enter the title, description, and alt text you want to associate with the image.
Title
Use the TITLE field for a short heading, such as:
Description
Use the DESCRIPTION field for a caption or additional information about the photograph.
Alt Text
Enter a brief and accurate description of the photograph in the ALT TEXT field.
Alt text helps visitors using screen readers understand what appears in the image. It can also help search engines understand the image and the surrounding page content.
You can also use ASK PHOTOBIZ AI to scan the image and suggest alt text. Review the suggestion before saving to confirm that it accurately describes the photograph.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply the image information.
Repeat this process for each image you want to update.
Click another image thumbnail, enter its title, description, and alt text, and then click SAVE CHANGES.
Each image in the Images Block can have its own title, description, and alt text.
Review the Images Block on desktop and mobile.
Confirm that each title and description appears with the correct image and remains easy to read. The placement and visibility of the text depend on the Images Block layout you select.
Click SAVE CHANGES after making any final block or design changes. Your updates are automatically applied to the website. There is no separate publish button.

Some layouts keep the text visible, while others display it as an overlay when a visitor hovers over the photograph.
Depending on the selected layout, the title or description may also appear when a visitor opens the enlarged image view.
The standard Square, Portrait, and Landscape layouts support the hover effect.

These layouts display the title only in the enlarged view. The description does not display with the enlarged image.

These layouts keep the image information visible without requiring the visitor to hover over or enlarge the image.
The following layouts display the title and description at the bottom of the image:
The text appears with the image as visitors browse the gallery or slideshow.
The following Carousel layouts display the title and description at the bottom of the leftmost visible image:
As visitors move through the carousel, the displayed title and description correspond to the image currently positioned furthest to the left.
The following Editorial Carousel layouts display the title and description below the center visible image:

The following layouts display the image title when a visitor opens the enlarged image view:
These layouts display the title only in the enlarged view. The description does not display with the enlarged image.
Card layouts combine an image with its title and description in a designed content card.

The exact position of the title and description depends on the selected Card layout. These layouts work well for testimonials, team profiles, featured services, session highlights, and other content that combines photography with written information.
Open LAYOUT in the Images Block settings to preview each option, then click SAVE to apply your selection.
Accordion Gallery layouts keep the image title and description visible beside the image.

These layouts keep the image information visible without requiring visitors to hover over or enlarge the image.
Choose a layout based on how you want visitors to see the image information.
Review the selected layout on both desktop and mobile. Hover effects may not work or display in the same way on touchscreen devices.
Open FONTS in the Images Block settings to customize the appearance of your image titles and descriptions.
Depending on the selected layout, you may be able to adjust:
Use fonts that are easy to read and consistent with the rest of your website.
Click SAVE after making your changes.
Alt text should briefly and accurately describe the important visual content of the image.
Examples include:
Avoid filling alt text with unrelated keywords, locations, or services. The text should accurately describe what appears in the image.
You generally do not need to begin alt text with phrases such as “image of” or “picture of.” Screen readers already identify the content as an image.
