How to Add a Signature Field to Your PhotoBiz Forms or Contracts

Overview

The PhotoBiz Forms & Contracts tool allows you to create custom forms, questionnaires, and legally binding contracts for your clients. Adding a Signature Block gives your clients a way to electronically sign your form by typing their name. This is commonly used for contracts, model releases, and agreements. In this guide, you will learn how to add a signature field and understand how it works once a form is submitted.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click FORMS from the left-side menu. This will open your Forms & Contracts dashboard where all of your forms are stored.

STEP TWO

Locate the form or contract where you want to add a signature field. You can scroll through your list or use the search bar to find it quickly. Click on the form name to open it in the editor.

If you are using a built-in template such as a Model Release or Event Contract, review the form first. Many templates already include a signature field.

STEP THREE

In the form editor, look at the right-side panel where available form blocks are listed. Scroll down to the MISCELLANEOUS section and click Signature Block.

Once selected, the Signature Block will automatically be added to your form. Your changes are saved immediately.

FINAL STEP

Your form is now ready to collect electronic signatures. When your client completes the form, they will type their name into the signature field. Their name will display in a signature-style format on the submitted document.

To confirm everything is working correctly, preview your form or submit a test entry. After submission, you should see the signature included in the saved form record.

Your client will see a field labeled for signature and will type their name into the box. It will appear styled like a handwritten signature on the form.

Important to Know

You can use the Document View option to view or print a formatted version of the submission

Using Templates

Built-in contract templates often already include a Signature Block
Using these templates can save time when creating common forms like model releases or event contracts
