This guide goes over the most common scenarios that require troubleshooting with PhotoBiz Invoices.
If sales tax is not appearing on an invoice or during checkout, check the following:
STEP ONE: Confirm Sales Tax Is Enabled
Go to Site Settings → Taxes.
Verify that Sales Tax is turned ON.
Make sure a tax rate has been entered (for example, 6.5%).
STEP TWO: Verify Product Tax Settings
Navigate to Store → Products (or Packages, depending on what’s being sold).
Edit the affected product or package.
Confirm that “Taxable” is enabled.
If this is unchecked, tax will not be applied—even if tax is enabled globally.
STEP THREE: Check Client Address Information
Sales tax is calculated based on the client’s billing/shipping address.
Open the invoice and confirm the client has:
State selected
Zip code entered
If the address is incomplete, tax may not calculate.
Helpful Guide:
If a client reports Error Code C257 while attempting to pay an invoice, this is related to a Stripe billing requirement.
How to Resolve
Open the invoice and add the client’s billing address information.
Save the changes.
Resend the invoice to the client.
Once the billing address has been added, the client should be able to complete payment without issue.
