Every page on your website has a URL slug. This is the last part of the web address that appears after your domain name. For example, in the address https://photobiz.com/websites, the /websites portion is the URL slug.
By default, PhotoBiz automatically generates the URL slug using the page name in your website menu. If you create multiple pages with the same name, the system will add a number to the URL to keep each page unique.
You can customize the URL slug to create cleaner, more readable links for your pages. This guide walks you through how to edit the URL slug using the SEO settings in the PhotoBiz Website Builder.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE from the left-side menu.
This opens the PhotoBiz Website Builder.
Open the page where you want to update the URL slug.
In the Website Builder page list, click the page you want to edit. The page will load in the editor so you can access its settings.
Click the SEO button in the upper-right corner of the page.
The SEO panel will open on the right side of the screen. This panel contains the page-level SEO settings for your page.
From here you can manage:
Page meta title
Meta description
URL slug (Friendly URL)
Additional SEO settings
Edit the Friendly URL for the page.
In the SEO panel, locate the FRIENDLY URL option.
Change the dropdown from AUTO to CUSTOM.
Once set to Custom, you can type the URL slug you want for that page.
A well-written URL slug can make your website easier to navigate and slightly improve SEO clarity.
When creating a custom URL slug, consider these best practices:
Use simple, descriptive words
Keep the slug short and easy to read
Use hyphens between words instead of spaces
Avoid special characters or punctuation
Try to include keywords that describe the page content
Clear URL slugs help visitors quickly understand what a page contains before they click it.
