How to Download All Website Images Using the Image Clipboard in PhotoBiz

Overview

If you need to download images from your PhotoBiz website, you can use the Image Clipboard with Client Galleries to collect your website images and download them as a ZIP file. This is helpful when you need a backup copy of your website images, such as before canceling your PhotoBiz account or after losing access to image files on your computer or external drive.

This guide explains how to copy images from your Website Builder pages into the Image Clipboard, insert those images into a temporary Client Galleries event, and request a download link by email. By the end, you will have a ZIP file containing the website images you collected.

Important Before You Begin

This process only works for images that are currently visible on your Website Builder pages. Images that were deleted from your account cannot be recovered using this method.

Copying images to the Image Clipboard does not remove them from your live website. Your website pages will remain unchanged.

If you are planning to cancel your PhotoBiz account, complete this process before canceling so you still have access to your images and account tools.

This process is designed for website images. Images stored in other areas of your account, such as Client Galleries events, Files, or Blog posts, may need to be downloaded separately.

How This Process Works

This process uses the Image Clipboard as a temporary holding area for your website images. First, you copy images from your Website Builder pages into the Image Clipboard. Then, you create a temporary Client Galleries event and insert those Clipboard images into the gallery.

Once the images are inside the Client Galleries event, you can use the Download Gallery option to receive a ZIP file by email.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

This opens your Website Builder, where you can access the pages and blocks that contain the images you want to download.

STEP TWO

Click the website page that contains the images you want to copy to the Image Clipboard.

You can copy images from website blocks that support image content, such as Images Blocks, Banner Blocks, List Blocks, and Text plus Image Blocks. Open the page so you can access the block settings.

STEP THREE

Click the block that contains the image or images you want to copy.

The block settings will open on the right side of your screen. In the image panel, you will see thumbnail previews of the images currently used in that block.

STEP FOUR

Click and hold your mouse inside the image panel, then drag the teal selection box over one or more images you want to copy.

Selected images will be outlined in green. You can select one image or multiple images at the same time.

STEP FIVE

Click and hold your mouse on the selected images, then drag them to the CLIPBOARD button.

Release your mouse to copy the selected images into the Image Clipboard. This creates a copy of the images in the Clipboard and does not remove them from your website page.

STEP SIX

Repeat this process for any additional website pages or blocks that contain images you want to download.

Make sure you review each page where images are used. This is especially important if you are downloading images before canceling your account or trying to rebuild your image backup after a computer or storage issue.

STEP SEVEN

Click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.

This opens your Client Galleries control panel. You will use this section to create a temporary gallery that allows your copied website images to be downloaded together.

STEP EIGHT

Click the NEW EVENT button to create a new gallery.

Enter a name such as Website Image Download so the gallery is easy to identify. Scroll to the bottom and click CREATE EVENT. The new event will open automatically.

STEP NINE

Inside your new event, click the CLIPBOARD button.

This opens the Image Clipboard so you can access the images you copied from your Website Builder pages.

STEP TEN

Select the images you want to insert into the Client Galleries event.

You can choose individual images or click Select All to select all images in the current view. If your Clipboard contains multiple pages of images, select all images on the current page, click INSERT, then repeat this process for each additional page of Clipboard images.

STEP ELEVEN

After your images have been inserted into the Client Galleries event, click the DOWNLOAD GALLERY button in the top-right corner of the event.

This opens the download options for the gallery.

STEP TWELVE

Enter the email address where you want to receive the download link.

Choose your preferred file resolution, then click SEND FILES. PhotoBiz will process the gallery and send a download link to the email address you entered.

FINAL STEP

Check your email for the download link.

Open the email and click the link to download your ZIP file. The download link is valid for 7 days from when it is sent. After the ZIP file downloads, extract it on your computer so you can access the image files.

Once you have confirmed that your images downloaded successfully, you can delete the temporary Client Galleries event if you no longer need it.

Additional Backup Recommendations

If you are preparing to cancel your account or trying to recover your image library after a computer issue, make sure you also review other areas of your PhotoBiz account where images or files may be stored.

You may also need to download content from:

  • Client Galleries events using the DOWNLOAD GALLERY option
  • Files stored in your FILES section
  • Blog posts or other content areas where images were uploaded separately

This helps make sure you have a more complete backup of your account content.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

Copying images to the Image Clipboard creates copies. Your original website images remain in place.

This process only collects images from Website Builder pages. Images stored in other PhotoBiz tools must be downloaded separately.

The Image Clipboard helps prevent duplicate uploads. If an image already exists in the Clipboard, it will not be added again.

You can organize Clipboard images into folders if you are working with a large number of images.

Download resolution options may include:

  • Web Resolution
  • High Resolution
  • Original Files

Original Files is only available if the Original Files upgrade was active when the images were uploaded. The available download resolution depends on how the images were originally uploaded and stored in the account.

Website Package allows files up to 4MB to be uploaded. Files larger than 4MB require the Original Files upgrade, which allows files up to 50MB to be uploaded to the account.

Large image sets may take several minutes to process before the download email is sent. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

Troubleshooting or FAQs

Why don’t I see the Original Files option?

The Original Files option is only available for images that were uploaded after the Original Files upgrade was enabled on the account. If the upgrade was not active when the images were uploaded, the Original Files option may not be available for those images.

Can I download all of my website images at once?

You can download all images that you have copied into the temporary Client Galleries event. If your Image Clipboard contains multiple pages of images, you may need to insert each page of images into the gallery before using the Download Gallery option.

Will this remove images from my website?

No. This process only creates copies of your images in the Image Clipboard and Client Galleries event. Your original website images remain unchanged.

Can this recover images that were deleted from my website?

No. This process only works for images that are still visible and accessible on your website pages. Deleted images cannot be recovered using this method.

Should I do this before canceling my PhotoBiz account?

Yes. If you are planning to cancel your PhotoBiz account, download your images and files before canceling. Once your account access ends, you may not be able to use the Website Builder, Image Clipboard, Client Galleries, or download tools.
