If you want to collect referrals for your photography services, you can do this in PhotoBiz by creating a simple referral form and placing it on your website. While PhotoBiz does not include a built-in referral program for services, forms allow you to collect referral details in one place and follow up manually. This guide walks you through creating a referral form, adding it to a dedicated page, and linking that page in your website footer so it is easy for clients to find.
By the end of this article, you will have a live referral page on your PhotoBiz website that visitors can access from anywhere on your site.
Before you begin, make sure you have access to the following in your PhotoBiz account:
The Form Builder
Website editing access
The Footer Sitemap enabled on your website
CREATE A REFERRAL FORM
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click FORMS in the left-side menu. Click NEW FORM to create a new form. You can start with the simple form template.
Add fields that allow someone to submit a referral. Common fields include the referrer’s name and email address, the name of the person being referred, and the referred person’s email address. You may also include an optional message field so the referrer can add notes.
Once all fields are added, review the form settings and save your changes. Your referral form is now ready to be placed on your website.
Helpful Guide:
CREATE A REFERRAL PAGE ON YOUR WEBSITE
Click WEBSITE in the left-side menu and either open an existing page or create a new page for referrals. Many photographers name this page “Refer a Friend” or “Client Referrals.”
With the page open in the editor, add a Form Block to the page. Select the referral form you created in STEP ONE from the form list. Add a short introduction above the form explaining how referrals work and what information is needed.
Save your page to publish the referral form on your website.
Helpful Guide:
ADD THE REFERRAL PAGE TO THE FOOTER SITEMAP
Open the Footer Sitemap in your website editor. Locate the area where your site-wide footer links are managed.
Add a new link to the referral page you created. This ensures the referral form is accessible from every page on your website, including galleries, blog posts, and landing pages.
Save your footer changes to apply the update across your site.
Helpful Guide:
CONFIRM YOUR REFERRAL PAGE IS LIVE
Visit your website as a visitor and scroll to the footer. Click the referral link and confirm that the referral page loads correctly and the form submits successfully.
After a test submission, check your CONTACTS section to confirm the referral appears as a new contact entry. Once confirmed, your referral form is active and ready for clients to use.
Referral submissions are collected through form entries and contacts.
Referral rewards or follow-ups are managed manually by the photographer.
The referral form does not appear on my page
Confirm that the Form Block is linked to the correct form and that the page is published.
The referral page does not show in the footer
Check that the page was added to the Footer Sitemap and that changes were saved.
