PhotoBiz Proofing allows you to sell print packages to your customers. You can choose between 4 different types of print packages: Fixed Package, Flexible Package, Digital Fixed Package, or Digital Full Event.
This guide will walk you through the steps of creating a FIXED PACKAGE (aka traditional print package).
A fixed package is something we're likely all familiar with (even if not by name). If you had photos taken at school or had holiday photos with Santa, you’ve probably bought a fixed package. A fixed package might look like this:
- 3 - 5 x 7 prints
- 2 - 8 x 10 prints
- 1 - 11 x 14 print
Typically, this style of the print package includes the prints of a single pose or image. However, it might involve getting a collection of prints for multiple poses. With PhotoBiz’s fixed packages, you can create a variety of packages with any size and number of prints you want to offer.
To learn more about choosing the right type of package, check out our article on selecting the right type of package for your clients.
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on ECOMMERCE on the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Mouse over SELL ONLINE in the top menu items and in the drop down, click PACKAGES.
STEP THREE
Click on the NEW PACKAGE button.
STEP FOUR
Create your Fixed package
You'll have the option to choose your PACKAGE TYPE, be sure to select FIXED and click next at the bottom.
STEP FIVE
Set up your Package Info
Add the name of the package, a brief description, tax and shipping options, tags, the package's active status and the number of poses. Poses, in this context, refers to the number of individual images that your customer can add to this package.
For example, if this package has 10 poses, then your customer can add 10 images out of their entire gallery that will apply to the prints that you will set up in step 3.
STEP SIX
Add your print sizes
This step is where you will add the prints and set the quantity that are included with the package. If you are adding multiple prints click add print size to add another. When you're done, click create package.
If you have 10 prints and 10 poses, your customer can choose which of their 10 poses (a.k.a. images) will correspond with which print.
For example, in a Client Galleries event, if your customer selects a pose/image to add to this package, they will be able to add that image for up to 3 5x7 prints, 2 8 x 10 prints, and 1 11 x 14 print.
STEP FIVE
Fine-tune your package
After you click Create Package, you'll be taken to your new package's settings. You will see the information that you just put in. You'll be able to edit any of your Package details and settings in this section of the builder.
- Details: Change your package name, description, number of poses, price, tax settings, and status.
- Print Sizes: Edit your print sizes and/or add additional sizes.
- Images: Add images to be associated with the package (Note: images added here are only for display purposes).
- SEO & Search: Enter meta information for this package.
- Add-Ons: Allow your clients to add additional poses and prints to their package for additional fees.
FINAL STEP
Add your package to a price list and see how it'll work
After you've created your package, you'll want to add the package to one of your price lists. This will allow your package to be available for purchase in the client event gallery using the price list you've included it with.
In case you need it, here's our guide on How to Modify Your Price List
Here is how a Fixed package will work
We've included a walk through of the process for completing a Fixed Package to understand how your customer will complete their order in their Client Galleries event.
Once your customer has accessed their gallery with the appropriate price list, they will need to add a pose or image in their gallery to the cart. To do this, they will click the add to cart button. Once the button is clicked, they will be prompted to put in their email. This is so that you can track their activity in the ACTIVITY tab in Client Galleries.
How to look at your customer's Client Galleries Activity
After adding their first pose to the cart, they must choose the Packages section.
Then they can choose which of your packages they want to apply the image to.
Then they will add that package to their cart.
From there, they can choose which of your prints they want the pose to apply to by clicking the plus button. They will repeat this process for the rest of their poses.
The package will show as complete when "Prints available" shows as 0.
If your client has selected a package, they will not be able to check out until they have selected the required number of prints.
