PhotoBiz ECommerce allows you to set up a merchant to accept credit and debit cards, however you can also set up to accept offline payments for cash, in person payments, Zelle, Venmo, personal checks, and other offline payment methods. This allows your customers to complete their order online through your website or client galleries but pay you for the order separate from an online merchant. This guide will walk you through setting up an Offline payment method.
Important Note: Offline Payments are not available for Invoicing and Forms.
PRO TIP!
If you're using Offline Payment methods, all orders that come through your PhotoBiz account will show a status of Pending until you've updated them to paid via the Payment Status section of the order. After you update the payment status from Pending to Paid, your clients will be able to download digital images and products. Check out our guide on updating Payment Status on Your Orders below:Guide: How To Update The Payment Status on my Order
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Mouse over PAYMENT at the top, center of your ECommerce control panel. The drop down menu will open and you can click on MERCHANTS.
STEP THREE
Click on the NEW MERCHANT button.
FINAL STEP
Select OFFLINE PAYMENT from the drop-down menu of available Merchants. From there you can configure the following options for your Offline Payment Method:
- PAYMENT NAME: You'll want to give your payment method a name, for example Pay with Cash, Pay with Zelle, Pay with Venmo, etc.
- SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Use this section to include any special instructions for your clients who are selecting this option. This can include your Zelle information, Venmo name, who to make a check payable to, etc.
- THANK YOU MESSAGE: This section is where you can have a customize thank you message for clients who have selected this option. This is also a great place to let clients know that orders won't be processed until the payment has been received since it's not going to automatically come to you the way a credit/debit card payment through your merchant would.
Click on the ADD MERCHANT button to add this to your list of available payment options.
