This article explains how to password-protect an individual page on your PhotoBiz website. Password protection allows you to restrict access so only visitors with the password can view the page content. This is useful for client-only pages, private information, or limited-access offers. Passwords are applied per page and do not affect your entire website.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Access to your PhotoBiz control panel
An existing website page you want to protect
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-hand menu.
From your list of website pages, click the page you want to password-protect to open it in the Website Builder editor. Click the SETTINGS button in the top-right corner of the page.
In the Page Password field, type in the password you want to use.
When you're done, click SAVE CHANGES to activate password protection.
Removing a Password
Want to make a page public again? Just delete the password from the Page Password field and click SAVE CHANGES. Your page will be accessible to everyone again.
Confirm Page Access
Once saved, visitors who try to view this page will be prompted to enter the password before they can see the page content.
If you want to make the page public again, return to the page’s SETTINGS panel.
Delete the password from the Page Password field.
Click SAVE CHANGES.
The page will immediately be accessible to all visitors.
Password protection applies only to the individual page where the password is set.
Once a visitor enters the password, their browser may remember it. They may not be prompted again unless they use a different browser or clear their browser cache and cookies.
Password-protected pages may still be indexed by search engines if they are publicly linked. Password protection limits visitor access but does not guarantee that a page will be excluded from search results.
The password entry screen is system-generated by PhotoBiz and uses your global website design settings. The following global styles control how the page appears:
Content Icon controls the lock icon color
Site Text controls the text color
Form Background controls the password field background
Button Text controls the button text color
Button Color controls the button background color
