How to Create a New Event in PhotoBiz Client Galleries

Client Galleries in PhotoBiz allow you to create private or public galleries where you can showcase your images and share them with clients or the public. Events give you control over access, organization, downloads, and purchasing options. You can also use tools like passwords, email collection, and automated emails to manage client interactions. This guide walks you through how to create a new Client Galleries event and upload images to it.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu. This opens the Client Galleries dashboard where all of your existing events and categories are listed.

STEP TWO

Click the NEW EVENT button at the top of the page to create a new event.

The event is created in whichever category is currently selected on the screen. By default, the first category in your list is selected. To place the event in a different category, click the category you want before creating the event. The selected category is highlighted in teal.

If you create an event in the wrong category, you can move it at any time by dragging and dropping the event into another category.

STEP THREE

Configure your event settings.

Start by setting up the basic event details. These settings control how clients access and interact with your gallery.

Event Name
Enter a name for your event. This name is visible to your clients and is used to create the event URL, such as yourdomain.com/proofing/event-name.

Price List
If Ecommerce is enabled on your account, select a price list to allow clients to purchase images from this event.

Expiration Date
Set an expiration date for the event. By default, the expiration date is one month from the day you create the event, but you can change it at any time.

Password
Adding a password is optional. When enabled, clients must enter the password at yourdomain.com/proofing to access the event.

Cover Page Email Collection
Enable this option to require visitors to enter an email address before viewing the event. Collected emails are added to your CRM so you can see who has viewed the gallery and use email automation for follow-up and remarketing.

Next, configure the Email Automation Series for the event. Use the dropdown menu to activate an email series if desired. This allows you to automatically send reminders, expiration notices, or follow-up emails related to the gallery.

If you need help setting this up, refer to the Email Automation for Client Galleries guide.

Then choose whether clients are allowed to download images for free.

You can disable downloads entirely, allow downloads for anyone accessing the event, or require a download code. When using a code, clients must enter the correct code before the download is allowed.

Choose the download resolution you want to offer. Options include Web Resolution, High Resolution, or Original Resolution. High Resolution supports prints up to 11"x14" when the uploaded images meet minimum size requirements. Original Resolution allows downloads up to 25MB and requires the Original Resolution add-on, which can be enabled from the Premium Features tab in your account.

Finally, choose whether to allow favorites, sharing, comments, and file name display. Favorites, sharing, and comments are enabled by default. File names are hidden by default.

Once all settings are configured, click CREATE EVENT. This opens the event and prepares it for image uploads.

STEP FOUR

Upload your images to the event.

You can upload as many images as your PhotoBiz account storage allows. There is no limit on the number of images per event, as long as you have available storage space on your account.

FINAL STEP

Once your images are uploaded, your event is ready to share based on your privacy and access settings. Demonstrate success by clicking the SHARE button in the upper-right corner of the event to send email invitations, copy the share link, share on social media, or create a blog post using images from the Client Galleries event.
