How to Add Print Sizes for Sale in PhotoBiz ECommerce

Overview

You can create custom print sizes in the PhotoBiz ECommerce Dashboard and offer them for purchase through your Client Galleries. Each print size can have its own price, tax setting, availability status, and additional shipping cost.

This guide explains how to create a print size and prepare it for use in a Client Gallery Price List. It also explains how shipping charges are calculated, what clients see, and what information appears when an order is submitted.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and select ECOMMERCE from the left-side menu. This opens the ECommerce Dashboard.

STEP TWO

Hover over SELL ONLINE at the top center of the ECommerce Dashboard. Select Prints from the drop-down menu.

The Prints section displays all print sizes currently saved in your account, including active and inactive print sizes.

STEP THREE

Select New Print Size. A panel will open on the right side of your screen where you can enter the details for the new print size.

STEP FOUR

In the Print Size field, enter the label clients will see when selecting the print. Use a clear name that identifies the dimensions or product, such as 8 × 10, 16 × 20, or 5 × 7 Lustre Print.

The Print Size field is only a customer-facing label. PhotoBiz does not automatically crop, resize, or prepare the image based on the dimensions you enter.

In the Price field, enter the amount you want to charge for the print size. Because you fulfill your own orders, you can set your preferred retail price.

Use Charge Tax to choose whether PhotoBiz should apply your configured sales tax settings when a client purchases the print.

Set Active to Yes to make the print size available for use in your Price Lists. Set Active to No to keep the print size listed in your ECommerce Dashboard without displaying it to clients or making it available for purchase.

Use Additional Shipping Cost when the print requires an extra shipping charge. The additional shipping cost is calculated for each print ordered and added to the cost of the shipping method assigned to the Price List.

For example, if a client orders two prints with an additional shipping cost, the additional cost will be applied to each print and added to the regular shipping method charge.

FINAL STEP

Review the print size information and select Create Print Size.

The new size will appear in your list of available print sizes. You can now add it to a Price List and assign that Price List to a Client Gallery event.

Creating a print size does not automatically make it available in every Client Gallery event. For instructions on creating a Price List, see How to Create a New Price List.

What Your Client Sees

After you add an active print size to a Price List and assign that Price List to a Client Gallery event, clients can select the print size when ordering an image from the gallery.

Print sizes with Active set to No remain listed in your ECommerce Dashboard but will not appear to clients or be available for purchase.

What Appears on a Client Gallery Order

When a client purchases a print through a Client Gallery, the submitted order includes the file name and a thumbnail of the selected image under the Item Details section.

This information helps you identify the exact image the client selected and match it with the ordered print size when fulfilling the order.

Editing an Existing Print Size

You can edit an existing print size from the Prints section of the ECommerce Dashboard.

After you save your changes, the updated print information will appear in any Price List that uses that print size. Changes apply to future purchases and do not change previously submitted orders.

Previous orders retain the product information and pricing that applied when the client placed the order.

Print Order Fulfillment

All PhotoBiz print orders are self-fulfilled. PhotoBiz records the order, payment, selected print size, image file name, and image thumbnail, but it does not automatically send the order to a print lab.

PhotoBiz does not crop, resize, print, package, or ship the ordered images. You are responsible for preparing and fulfilling each order.

There are no PhotoBiz commissions on your print sales. You can:

  • Use any professional lab, local printer, or vendor you prefer.
  • Set your own print prices.
  • Choose the materials and finishing options you offer.
  • Control the quality of the final product delivered to your client.
  • Package and ship orders using your preferred workflow.

Payment processing fees from your connected payment provider may still apply.

Additional Options and Helpful Notes

  • Use clear and consistent names so clients can easily compare print sizes.
  • Include the finish or paper type in the customer-facing label when you offer multiple versions of the same size.
  • Review your prices, tax settings, and shipping costs before adding a print size to a Price List.
  • Additional shipping costs are charged per print, not once per order.
  • The additional shipping cost is added on top of the shipping method assigned to the Price List.
  • Set Active to No when you want to temporarily remove a print size from sale without removing it from the ECommerce Dashboard.
  • Editing a print size updates the Price Lists that use it after you save the changes.
  • Changes to print sizes do not alter previously submitted orders.
