PhotoBiz video guide on using the FAQ block in the PhotoBiz website builder.
Overview
The FAQ Block makes it easy to add common questions and answers to your PhotoBiz website. You can use it to explain pricing, session details, booking policies, delivery timelines, product information, or other questions visitors often ask before contacting you.
This guide walks you through how to add an FAQ Block, choose a layout, create question and answer items, and customize the design. By the end of this article, you will be able to create a clean, organized FAQ section on your website.
The FAQ Block works best when you want to organize information in a question-and-answer format. It is especially helpful for:
For longer informational content that is not written as questions and answers, consider using a Text Editor Block, Text + Image Block, or List Block instead.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens the Website Builder, where you can manage your pages and add new content blocks to your website.
Click the name of the page where you want to add the FAQ Block.
You can also create a new page if you want your FAQs to appear on a dedicated Frequently Asked Questions page.
Once you are on the page, add the FAQ Block using one of the available block options. You can click the FAQ icon on the right side of the screen to quickly add the block to the bottom of the page. You can also hover over the FAQ icon, click and hold, then drag it to the location where you want it to appear. Release the block when the teal placement line appears.
Select a layout for your FAQ Block.
You can choose a blank layout or one of the predesigned layouts. Blank blocks use your website’s global styling settings. Predesigned blocks include custom design settings so the block looks like the layout preview you selected.
Click SELECT on the layout you want to use.
Add or edit your FAQ items.
After you select a layout, the FAQ editing panel opens on the right side of the screen. If you selected a blank layout, click NEW ITEM to add your first question and answer.
If you selected a predesigned layout, you may see sample FAQ items already included. You can click an existing question to edit it, add new questions, or check the boxes next to sample items you do not need and delete them.
Enter your question and answer.
Each FAQ item includes a QUESTION field and an ANSWER field. The question can include up to 400 characters. The answer field does not have a character limit.
Your question is the text visitors will see first. Depending on the layout you choose, the answer may display automatically or open when a visitor clicks the question, plus icon, arrow, or accordion bar.
You can also use Ask PhotoBiz AI in the editor to help write your FAQ content. Enter a prompt such as “Write a friendly FAQ about what to expect during a newborn session” or “Help me explain how my wedding photography packages work.” Then click GENERATE TEXT to create editable text you can review and adjust.
When you are finished, click CREATE ITEM to save the FAQ item.
Repeat the process to add more questions and answers to your FAQ Block.
You can add up to 50 question and answer pairs in each FAQ Block. When you are finished editing your FAQ items and design settings, click SAVE CHANGES.
Your FAQ Block will be added to your website, and visitors will be able to view your questions and answers based on the layout you selected.
You can change the layout of your FAQ Block after it has been added to your page.
In the FAQ Block settings panel, go to CURRENT LAYOUT and click CHANGE to view the available layout options.
Available FAQ layout styles may include:
Accordion Plus: Click the "+" icon to reveal answers.
Accordion Bar: Click the question itself to expand.
Accordion Arrow: Click the arrow to toggle answers.
Contemporary Title: Q&A side-by-side, separated by a line.
Contemporary Border: Groups questions with borders, in one or two columns.
Numbered List: Displays numbered questions. Choose 1–2 columns.
Modern Bar: Questions in bars with answers below. Choose 1–3 columns.
Modern Line: Horizontal line separates question/answer. Choose 1–3 columns.
Modern Pinboard: Grid layout of FAQ boxes. Choose 1–3 columns.
Modern Center: Center-aligned version of Modern Line.
Accordion layouts are helpful when you have several questions and want to keep the page shorter. Visitors can click each question to open the answer they need.
Always-visible layouts are helpful when you have fewer questions or when you want visitors to see all answers without clicking.
Grid or multi-column layouts work well for short questions and shorter answers. If your answers are longer, a single-column layout is usually easier to read.
The available style settings depend on the layout you choose. Some layouts include more design controls than others.
Common style options include:
These settings help you control the spacing and structure of your FAQ section so it matches the rest of your website.
You can customize the colors used in your FAQ Block from the COLORS section of the block settings.
Depending on your selected layout, available color settings may include:
After adjusting your colors, click SAVE CHANGES to apply the updates to your website.
You can add a background to your FAQ Block from the background settings.

Click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.
The FAQ Block can use your website’s global font settings, or you can customize the fonts for this block only.

You can customize settings such as font style, size, spacing, and line height. Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your font updates.
You can add an FAQ Block to any page where visitors may need extra information before taking action.
Common places to use an FAQ Block include:
For best results, place your most important questions near the page section where visitors are likely to need them.
Here are a few examples of questions you might add to an FAQ Block:
You can customize these questions to match your photography business, services, and policies.
FAQ sections can help your website include helpful search phrases that potential clients may use on Google. Use natural questions your clients actually ask, such as “How long does a newborn session take?” or “When will I receive my wedding photos?”
Keep your answers clear and specific. This makes the page more helpful for visitors and easier for search engines and AI tools to understand.
Keep your FAQ questions short and clear so visitors can quickly find the information they need.
Use friendly, direct answers that sound like how you would respond to a client in person. FAQs are a great place to answer common questions about session prep, booking steps, turnaround times, payment policies, product delivery, or what clients should expect after purchasing.
Group similar questions together when possible. For example, you may want to keep pricing questions together, booking questions together, and delivery questions together.
If you have a large amount of information to share, consider using more than one FAQ Block so each section stays organized and easy to scan.
I selected a predesigned layout and see sample questions.
Predesigned FAQ layouts may include sample content. You can edit the sample questions, add your own questions, or delete the ones you do not need.
My answers do not display right away on the page.
Some FAQ layouts use an accordion style. This means visitors click the question, plus icon, arrow, or bar to reveal the answer.
I do not see every design setting listed in this guide.
Available style, color, background, and font settings may vary depending on the layout you selected. Try changing the layout if you need different design options.
My FAQ section is getting too long.
Each FAQ Block can include up to 50 question and answer pairs. For easier reading, consider splitting longer FAQ content into separate blocks or separate pages by topic.
