How to Set Up Sales Tax in PhotoBiz
You can easily set up sales tax in your PhotoBiz account to collect taxes on purchases made through your ECommerce, Client Galleries, Forms, Scheduler, and Invoices.
This guide will walk you through creating a tax line so your customers are charged the correct amount based on their location.

PhotoBiz Support cannot provide tax rate recommendations. Please consult a local tax expert to ensure you’re charging the correct rate for your city, county, state/province, and country.
STEP ONE
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click on ECOMMERCE in the left-hand menu.
STEP TWO
At the top of the ECommerce control panel, hover over PAYMENTS and click TAXES from the dropdown menu.
STEP THREE
Click the NEW TAX LINE button.
STEP FOUR
Set Up Your Sales Tax Line
Fill in the fields as follows:

Description: Enter a name for the tax (e.g., “North Carolina Sales Tax”). This name will appear during checkout.

Sales Tax Rate: Enter the tax rate as a percentage (e.g.,
7.25
for 7.25%). -
Country: Choose the country where this tax applies. Only customers in this country will be charged.

State/Province: Choose either:

ALL – to apply the tax to every state/province in the selected country.

A specific state or province – to apply tax only to orders from that location.

✅ Example: If you choose North Carolina, only clients in North Carolina will be charged this tax. A client in Florida won’t be charged.

County (optional): Enter a county name to target the tax even more precisely. If you charge tax by county, be sure to add a separate tax line for each county you serve.

Apply in addition to any applicable tax:
Select Yes if this tax should be added on top of any other applicable taxes (like state + county combined). -
Apply Sales Tax to Shipping:
Select Yes if shipping should be taxed in your area.
When finished, click ADD TAX LINE.
You can repeat this process to create additional tax lines for different locations as needed.
