Radio Buttons vs Checkboxes in the PhotoBiz Form & Contract Builder

The PhotoBiz Form & Contract Builder lets you create fully custom forms for your clients. When you need clients to choose between options, you can use either Radio Buttons or Checkboxes. Each option serves a different purpose depending on whether the client should select one answer or multiple answers. This guide explains the difference and shows you how to add each option to your form.

RADIO BUTTONS

Radio Buttons are best when your client should choose only one option from a list.

Common examples include:

  • Selecting one session type

  • Choosing one preferred contact method

  • Picking one package option

Once a radio button is selected, the other options in that group are automatically deselected.

CHECKBOXES

Checkboxes are ideal when your client can select more than one option.

Common examples include:

  • Choosing multiple products or add-ons

  • Selecting several interests or preferences

  • Agreeing to multiple terms or acknowledgments

Clients can check as many boxes as apply.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click FORMS in your control panel menu. Select FORM BUILDER to view your available forms.

STEP TWO

Click on the FORM NAME you want to edit. This opens the form editor so you can customize your fields.

STEP THREE

In the Add Standard Field section, choose either Radio Select or Checkbox depending on how many selections you want your client to make.

FINAL STEP

The new field is added to the bottom of your form. Drag and drop it to place it anywhere within the form layout. Update the field label and options as needed, then save your changes. Your clients will now see the correct selection type when completing the form.

Helpful Notes

  • Use Radio Buttons when only one answer should be allowed.

  • Use Checkboxes when multiple answers are acceptable.

  • Clear field labels help clients understand how many selections they can make.

  • You can reorder fields at any time by dragging them within the form editor.
