When you create a Facebook post with a link to a page on your website, Facebook will automatically select the first image displayed on your website as the preview thumbnail using the Open Graph protocol. This protocol is also used by other social networks, like X (formerly Twitter).
To change the image shown when sharing a page to Facebook (or any other social platform), you’ll need to update the first image on the page in your website builder.
After updating the image, we recommend running the page URL through the Facebook Debugger to ensure that Facebook/Meta has the latest version of your page and isn’t showing an old image.
Important Note: PhotoBiz is not affiliated with Meta or Facebook. Our Web Consultants can help with uploading files and advising where to place them for your Facebook shares. Specific questions about advertising, Facebook Pixel tracking & conversions, and other functions of Meta Business will need to be answered by Meta Business Help section located within your Meta Business Suite account.
