Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries include global design settings that control how your event cover pages and image galleries appear to visitors. You can select a default Cover Page Layout and Gallery Layout for your Client Galleries events.
The Cover Page Layout controls the page visitors see before entering an event. The Gallery Layout controls how images appear after visitors enter the event. This guide shows you how to update both settings from the Client Galleries Dashboard.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.
This opens the Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can manage your events, design settings, and other Client Galleries features.
Click DESIGN at the top of the Client Galleries Dashboard.
The Design settings will open to the Branding section.
Click LAYOUT to access the Cover Page Layout and Gallery Layout settings.
The Cover Page Layout options appear at the top of the section. The Gallery Layout options appear below them.
Click the thumbnail for the Cover Page Layout and Gallery Layout you want to use.
Your Cover Page Layout controls the page visitors see before entering an event.
Your Gallery Layout controls how the images appear after visitors enter the event through its cover page.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Your selected Cover Page Layout and Gallery Layout will now be used as the global settings for your Client Galleries events. Visitors will see the selected gallery view when they enter an event. They can also access full-screen and slideshow viewing options after the gallery loads.
The Cover Page Layout is the global default used for your Client Galleries event cover pages.
You can choose from the following layouts:
You can customize the Cover Page Layout for an individual event without changing the global setting used by your other events. This is helpful when a specific event needs a different presentation or cover image arrangement.
For complete instructions, see How to Update Your Client Galleries Event Cover Layout.
The Gallery Layout controls how visitors see the images after entering an event through its cover page.
This is a global setting that applies to all Client Galleries events. Unlike the Cover Page Layout, the Gallery Layout cannot be customized for an individual event.
You can choose from the following layouts:
The Pinboard layout displays images using their original aspect ratios without cropping them in the gallery grid.
The Square, Rectangle, and Portrait layouts place images inside consistently shaped grid items. Parts of an image may be cropped to fit the selected layout.
After an event loads, visitors can open individual images in full-screen view or use slideshow mode. These viewing options are available from the gallery and do not change the selected Gallery Layout.
Choose Pinboard when preserving the original shape and aspect ratio of each image is most important.
Choose Square, Rectangle, or Portrait when you want the gallery to have a more uniform grid. You can adjust image focal points to control which part of an image remains visible when cropping occurs.
If you use the Square, Rectangle, or Portrait layout, you can adjust an image’s focal point to control which part of the image remains visible when it is cropped in the gallery grid.
Open the event from the Client Galleries Dashboard and select the image you want to adjust. Click Edit Focal Point, position the focal point over the most important part of the image, and save your changes.
Adjusting the focal point changes how the image is positioned inside cropped gallery layouts. It does not crop or alter the original uploaded image.
